I just spent 3 nights at this great hotel.
As written before Cambodia is a great country for tourists - friendly people, efficient tourism procedures and minimal hassle.
The hotel is located about one mile from the Raffles hotel and future Park Hyatt towards the Angkor Watt entrance. Most of the nightlife and restaurants are about 10 minutes tuk-tuk drive from the hotel.
The building is at least 20-30 years old but it's in a immaculate condition. Staff was faultless during the time of my stay providing friendly service with impeccable English skills.
During check-in I was informed that no suite upgrade was available for the first night but for the adjacent 2 nights. The suite was rather large with a big living room and large bed.
I did like the pool a lot which has some artistic feel to it and is more than just a puddle of water. The gym, located next to the pool and spa, is pretty no looker though and has very little useable equipment.
Food and drinks were excellent. Frankly I was surprised with the level of coffee (latte and cappuccinos) that they came up with. There is a 'Happy Hour' from 10 AM till 5 PM in the lobby with a free drink for Platinum guests. There is no lounge though.
Breakfast was great with a large selection of Western and Asian dishes. I especially liked the pastries and breads which were numerous and of high quality.
