Review Lufthansa First Class Terminal (January 2014)
After my First Class flight from Dallas I made it through a foggy and icy Frankfurt morning to the outside of the airport terminal on my way to the First Class Terminal. I have written before about my experience at the Lufthansa First Class Terminal in May, April and October 2013.. It has been flawless so far.
When I arrived it was just around 9 AM and at this time most US bound flights are just about to leave. The Terminal was therefore 'crowded' with all restaurant tables taken and most seating areas used. In fact I have never seen so many people there.
However once a table opened up - most of the lounge began to empty rather quickly as passengers left for their west-bound flights.
I think breakfast is the best meal at the FCT. I was really looking forward to the usually mix of delicious items. However I think the quality of items has slipped. The quantity is certainly the same and the presentation is awesome, but the taste of most items won't beat your local Whole Foods anymore. It's as good as upscale hotel breakfasts but I did not find it as incredible as before. So maybe that's just me.
I proceeded to use the bathtub spa and due to the low occupancy now - got the largest spa room without waiting.
I settled own into one of the lounge seats and used the really fast Internet. Lunch was served meanwhile.
Not long after the assigned lounge attendant came by to pick me up for my flight. Like in my last visit there was a bit of a wait due to several flights leaving at the same time. After about 5 minutes all 3 of us were boarding the Mercedes S Class which features on-board TV on the back seat headrests to the plane to Osaka.
So all in-all I can't really report too many new things from the First CLass Terminal. I'm glad I had the option to use United Miles for the route one last time.
Let's move on to new routes and destinations :)
