I had no idea that United.com has a hotels section and I guess that's why we have this promotion. It's the same software many hotel booking sites use - prices are competitive.
Not a bad promo - especially if you book hotels for someone else. Too bad it's capped.
Terms and conditions
Offer is valid only for hotels booked online through united.com/hotels. Your MileagePlus number must be provided at the time of booking. Miles cannot be earned on bookings made through offline support.
Members can earn up to 2 miles per dollar spent on paid qualifying hotel stays:
1 mile per USD $1 for average nightly rate of USD $99.00-$148.99
2 miles per USD $1 for average nightly rate of USD $149.00 or more
Mileage accrual level is determined by average nightly rate purchased. Average nightly rate is calculated according to the base rate in U.S. dollars for the reservation and does not include taxes, fees, charges or surcharges applicable to the booking, including, without limitation, extra person, phone, parking, resort fees and other charges applicable to the reservation.
Offer is valid on hotel bookings made through united.com/hotels between March 28, 2014, and 11:59 p.m. (CT) on April 30, 2014, for stays completed on or before 11:59 p.m. (CT) on May 31, 2014.
Individual members may earn a maximum of 25,000 miles in connection with this promotion.
Mileage earned is not combinable with any other mileage offers. Offer is not combinable with coupons or other promotions. Rates on united.com/hotels may not be eligible for standard or bonus miles awarded by MileagePlus partner hotels.
Miles for completed qualifying activity will be posted to the member's MileagePlus account up to 6-8 weeks after the end of the promotion period.
