Where is the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk?
The Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk is an oceanfront amusement park, situated in Santa Cruz, northern California, between San Francisco and Monterey. It combines the classic California beach experience with the thrills of an amusement park, with more than 34 rides and attractions including the world-famous 1924 Giant Dipper wooden roller coaster.
This Boardwalk celebrated its centennial in 2007, making it 107 years old!

As well as the Giant Dipper, you'll discover the 1911 Looff Carousel, rides for thrill-seekers like Double Shot and Fireball and more gentle ones for families with children. Indoor arcades offer modern video games and old-style pinball machines as well as a mini golf course and laser tag.

The spectacular beach setting helps make the Boardwalk a success. The food available is mainly typical fairground fare like corn dogs, but you can also buy deep-fried artichokes or Twinkies and chocolate-covered bacon!

Admission to the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk is free - you just pay for the rides with individual tickets or an all-day wristband. Summer entertainment is also provided for free and includes an annual chili cook-off on October 25th 2014.
