For my flights through Lisbon, I wanted to check out TAP Portugal's lounge for Star Alliance Gold members.
The TAP Premium Lounge isn't easy to find, unless you know to look for the Emirates Lounge and then find your way to the Premium lounge. Lisbon is a TAP hub after all.
When I visited the lounge on a Friday just after lunch, it was packed. Every seat was taken and the crowds were hungry and going wild at the buffet.
The lounge has no natural light and it was rather noisy given how crowded it was.
I helped myself to a (really horrible) espresso and a sparkling water and listened to the very loud flight announcements. The lounge dragon announced each flight in Portuguese and English and I was amazed at how anyone could fall asleep given those announcements.
Once my flight to Marrakech was announced, I went on my way and realized that the lounge is airside but before immigration. I could use the e-passport gates, but other passengers reported a long wait at immigration. Keep that in mind when you have a non-EU flight coming up.
Not a lounge I need to visit again...
