How do I use Carlson Travel Agent Rates?
You can directly access the site hereand join Look To Book by providing your travel agent number and email address.
To search availability of discounted rates of your preferred Carlson hotel brand, you don't need to be logged in and can just use the TVLAGENTpromotional code. Add TVLAGENT to the 'Promotional Code' box rather than to the 'Travel Agency ID' box.
We checked the cost of a one-night stay at the Country Inn & Suites By Carlson, Montgomery at Chantilly Parkway in Alabama on March 13th, 2017, and the Flexible Rate came up at $107 before tax for non-members or $96 before taxfor Club Carlson members:
Simply adding the TVLAGENT code to the reservation gave us the cheaper rate of $53, which is nearly 50% off the Flexible Rate ($43 off / 45% off the member rate):
When booking with the TVLAGENT code, the T&C clearly state that this rate is for travel agent employees on personal travel only and that theagent's IATA number must be included on the reservation. Your official ID or a letter from your manager on company letterhead paper must be presented at the time of check-in. In addition, thisrate is not eligible for Gold Points, Look To Book points or miles.

In this case, it seems thattravel agents can certainly save a bundle on personal stays when using the TVLAGENT code and may well be able to save their clients money too when booking through Look To Book. We're unable to check the latter unfortunately.
If you're eligible, it's alwaysworth checking both Look To Book and the main Carlsonsite tocompare rates before booking, just in case your chosen property is discounted on your chosen dates.
