All Seasons Jakarta Thamrin Review
All Seasons is an Accor brand that has a turbulent past, with constant on and off in the big brand empire. The few hotels that exist of the brand are in Indonesia.
The All Seasons Jakarta Thamrin is located right next to the busy Stasiun Sudirman train station. There is a major MRT construction right outside that makes the immediate environment quite an eyesore.
Check-in was friendly, fast and in fluent English - things that are somewhat of a rarity in Indonesia (not the friendliness but the speed and English skills).
I asked for a quiet room (which would be a challenge, given the road noise and construction) and was told to wait until after 3PM. Upon my return, my room was ready and it was in great shape. I'm not sure I'm a fan of the sink so close to the bed and the tiny shower and toilet but it sure was very functional.
Everything worked just as expected and both the air conditioning and the road were just about audible - definitely not noisy.
I did not have high expectations of the Internet but it came in at 10 Mbit most of the time (it would slow down on the second evening for some reason).
There is a beautiful rooftop terrace that I discovered way too late. There are drinks and food served at night and also the free breakfast is served there (I always skipped breakfast, given the excellent coffee shops in Jakarta.
There is also a tiny gym on the second floor that just has two cardio machines and one weight machine - it looked rather sorry and could have really been done better.
I found the staff to be exceedingly friendly at all times and surprisingly also knowledgeable. All in all, this is a great little hotel under very good management and with good hardware.
