Photo Review – Cathay Pacific ‘The Pier’ Business Class Lounge at Hong Kong International Airport
Cathay Pacific runs a number of Business Class lounges at Hong Kong International Airport - The Wing, The Deck, The bridge and The Pier.
Courtesy of a 20 hour layover I decided to give The Pier Business Class lounge a try. The lounge is typically the farthest away for most US departures at the other end of the airport. The good news though is that it is enormous, better equipped than others and is typically rather empty.

The sleeping area has some rather comfortable chaiselongs that allowed me to sleep for a few hours. The biggest issue is the loud announcements for delayed Cathay pacific flights.

No Cathay Pacific lounge can be complete without a noodle bar. It's the exact same servings of noodle as in all the other lounges from what I could tell.

While a little uninspired I found the 'Western' catering quite high quality and ate a few dishes during my 20 hours.

I was amazed by how good the espresso drinks were. Definitely worth the trek alone.

Many Cathay pacific lounges quickly loose a working Internet once a lounge gets more full - not here - it worked fast and stable the whole time.
This is certainly my new favorite lounge a great oasis for anyone with a longer layover (i.e. two hours or longer).
