Holiday Inn Doha (Business Park) Review

The Holiday Inn Doha was part of the recent Pointbreaks release with redemption rates as low as 5,000 points but also posts rates under $70 for most Middle East summer dates.



The hotel is in between the downtown area and the airport and it is just $7 for a quick Uber ride from the airport.

Check-in was exceptionally friendly with a great agent. She understood the specifics of the IHG Rewards program and the hotel. I wish every check-in would be as joyful (rarely it is though!).

The building and rooms seemed brand new. The room itself was somewhat spacious (though the bathroom size was a bit excessive). The air conditioning worked perfectly and cooled down the room to the exact setting effortlessly (a big plus gave the humid heat outside).



The beds were in great shape and so was the Wifi with a stable 10Mbit connection for every device (as it should).









I felt the shower was a bit flimsy and had too low pressure. There was a lot of 'wasted space' in the shower area.





We ventured down to the pool area which was guarded by another friendly attendant. The pool itself was small but felt comfortable in well maintained.

The restaurant area and bar seemed deserted at night. However, there is a fully licensed bar that serves alcoholic drinks.

In sum, the Holiday Inn Doha gave off a great impression. It seems like someone is actually in charge of taking care of guests in the best sense of Arabian hospitality. I'd happily return and stay longer given the high quality of the hotel.
