Air Canada New Frequent Flyer Partnership
Last week Air Canada announced the details of the revamped Aeroplan program and the starting date of the “New Aeroplan” is set for November 8, 2020. Over the last few months, we also saw Air Canada offering up some really good promotions for its passengers. Now they announced yet another frequent flyer partner after Etihad and Azul, and starting today passengers can start earning and redeeming miles.
Air Canada New Frequent Flyer Partnership
Air Canada Aeroplan announced a brand new frequent flyer partnership with Vistara, a carrier based in Delhi. Vistara is jointly owned by Tata Sons with 51% and Singapore Airlines with 49%. The airline already has a frequent flier partner with Singapore Airlines, its parent company, and United Airlines. Vistara serves 34 destinations with over 200 daily flights with a fleet of over 40 aircraft. While Vistara primarily operates domestic flights, they do offer some interesting long-haul options which include Singapore, London, Kathmandu, and Bangkok.
Earning Aeroplan miles on Vistara:
- You can earn miles when you purchase an eligible booking class and travel on flights operated by Vistara
- In order to earn miles be sure you provide your Aeroplan number when you make a reservation
- Keep in mind that Aeroplan miles earned on all eligible Vistara flights do not count towards Air Canada Altitude status
- You will earn Aeroplan miles based on the booking class that you purchase
- Passengers can earn 25% bonus miles for flying in Business Class

Air Canada New Aeroplan Program
Air Canada recently published the details of its revamped Aeroplan frequent flyer program. The carrier will relaunch the loyalty program on November 8, 2020, with a focus on value and flexible redemption. Aeroplan members can now redeem points to purchase any Air Canada seat that is available for sale with no restrictions. Also, airline surcharges, including fuel surcharges, on all flight rewards with Air Canada, will be eliminated. Members will pay only for taxes and third-party fees. Interestingly, members can even pay with points for taxes and third-party fees.
