United Kingdom
Prime Minister of the UK, Boris Johnson, announced a 4-stage plan for easing COVID-19 restrictions. In phase 1 schools and colleges will reopen and general moving restrictions will slowly be lifted. The first stage should begin in early March in which we will see schools and colleges reopen. At the end of March, outside gatherings and sports will be allowed once again. Only in early April, we will see non-essential shops, restaurants, and pubs reopen with safety measures in place. Finally, if vaccines prove to be sufficient in stopping the spread of the virus all restrictions will be lifted by the end of June. You can read more here!
Mexico
The Governor of Quintana Roo announced that Cancun, Tulum, and Playa del Carmen will be eased just in time for spring break! Now hotels, restaurants, and shops will be allowed to operate with a 60% capacity instead of 30%. You can read more here!
Qantas and Jetstar
In an official press announcement, Qantas and Jetstar official revealed plans to restart international flights in late October. Qantas will resume flights to 22 destinations and Jetstar to 13 destinations. You can read the full press release here!
